Granola
I have been making granola since I first saw this recipe over at Kitchen Stewardship. You may remember me posting about it on Munching Madness. I had been following Katie's recipe most of the time, but now I am branching out! I am not posting the exact recipe because it is not mine, but I am noting the change I made. Trust me, this recipe is worth clicking over to see.
I start with oats, of course, and my latest flavorings were LOTS of cinnamon, and a good bit of salt.
In a separate glass container, I melted down 1/4 cup coconut oil, 1/8 cup honey, and 1/8 cup Maple Syrup! That was added in with the vanilla and water.
The ingredients were all combined and baked. I must say. I LOVE the maple syrup version much better than the original honey ones.
John likes them both, so they will probably both be in rotation. I like to have it for breakfast with some dried fruit and yogurt. MMMMmmmmm.....
I can smell it from here, Jackie! Happy Baking!
